About Cremations
Cremation is the process of burning a dead corpse into ashes. The process is usually done in crematoriums, which is where the furnaces are located. First, the body is placed in a casket and then placed inside the furnace. Once the corpse has been reduced to simply just ashes, there are many ways of disposing it. Some people tend to keep their loved one’s urns in Marble Urns, traditional urns or Cremation Urns. Others, at the deceased request dispose of the urns in the sea for example or a specific area that was requested.
Cremation is also popular among pet owners who have lost a companion. They can also be placed in speciality urns such as Cat Urns for example.
Urns are special vases that have been used for centuries to store ashes of dead corpses. They were quite common in ancient roman, greek and egyptian civilizations. The romans would place their urns in a type of tomb called the columbium. The physical appearance of urns tend to be quite decorated and may contain handles on the side. Generally in a shape of a vase, either silver or gold, urns can also be found in a form of a wood. Wooden earns are quite elegant as it takes a lot of work to perfect it. All wooden urns are crafted carefully by hand, giving them a unique distinct look. There are several types of wood that is used to produce wooden urns, they include: teak, lignum, oak, cherry, maple and many more quality wood. The form and shape of the wooden urns are also crafted by hand. There is also the option of getting details engraved by a skilled artist. There is generally always a lid on top of the urns.
When looking at the environmental factor of cremation. Environmental benefits include no contaminants from the dead body may leak into the water system. Ashes would not leak these contaminants and bacteria because they were all burnt in the furnace.
